John has worked in landscaping and heavy construction since 1984. He has been with Gail Willey Landscaping for over 30 years. John is the CMS qualifier for Gail Willey Landscaping, with classifications in: C-10 Landscaping, A-12 Excavating, Grading, Trenching and Surfacing, A-15 Sewers, Drains and Pipes, A-19 Pipeline and Conduits, A-21 Fencing and Guardrails, A-22 Rockery Walls and Engineered Water Features, and C18 Masonry.
Justin joined the Gail Willey team in 2014 as an equipment operator and laborer, quickly rising to foreman overseeing large-scale commercial and residential installations. In 2019, he was promoted to Project Manager, where he collaborates closely with clients, designers, and crews to ensure projects are executed to the highest industry standards. With twelve years of experience in landscaping and heavy equipment operation, Justin has led award-winning projects recognized by the Nevada Landscape Association, including the 2019 Presidents Award for the Clear Creek Family Campus in Tahoe and the 2021 Presidents Award for best residential installation. Certified as an ICPI paver installer and holding a Class A Commercial driver’s license, Justin is dedicated to professional excellence. Outside of work, he enjoys camping, hiking, and dirt biking.
Jeff went to work for Gail Willey Landscaping in 1999. After high school, he worked as a logger for 10 years. He learned how to identify tree varieties and how they grow. Jeff also learned the trade of working large machinery, including tree spades. He currently runs the large tree division, selling, moving, and transplanting trees of all varieties. Jeff holds a Class A commercial drivers’ license.
In his spare time, Jeff loves to camp and is an avid fisherman.
Nelson joined Gail Willey in 2002 as a laborer, collaborating closely with Gail on numerous residential installations. With a strong foundation, he then spent 12 years as our head Foreman overseeing major commercial and residential projects, including notable landmarks like Rock Park in Sparks and the Reno Airport Control Tower, as well as multiple Walmart locations. Promoted to Project Manager in 2017, Nelson now ensures the highest standards of landscape installation by working closely with designers, clients, and crews. His dedication has earned him over 30 awards from the Nevada Landscape Association for his exceptional work. Nelson, who is bilingual, partners with Justin Willey to coordinate crews and optimize project efficiency in the field.
Ruben Nieves joined the Gail Willey Landscaping team in 2012, starting as a laborer and working his way up to foreman in 2017. With 6 years of experience in landscape maintenance, Ruben has consistently demonstrated professionalism and a “get the job done right” attitude that continues to impress us. In 2024 he was promoted to project manager for many of our large commercial installations, including Five Ridges and Legacy Homes. In his time off, Ruben loves spending time with his family and enjoys going to the movies.
