As we write this letter your landscape crew is just putting the finishing touches on a project that took almost four weeks for them to transform our dirt backyard into a living space that we will enjoy for years to come. We would like to take this opportunity to tell you just how impressed we are with every facet of your company. When we first met your representative, Thomas Sloniker, we had already interviewed three other landscapers for our project. We were very impressed with Thomas’ depth of knowledge, organizational skill and professionalism. By the time Thomas left that day, my wife and I had decided that we wanted Gail Willey Landscaping to do our job and no other. We next met with Kevin McCall to view the design for our project. Kevin’s design exceeded our expectations on every level. Next, we were introduced to Nelson, Saul and his crew and the project began. We were extremely impressed with the landscape crew who worked hard under the supervision of Nelson and Saul, showing an attention to detail we have seldom seen before. At the end of each day the crew ensured that the project site was cleaned of debris and secured. During the entire project, Thomas and Kevin kept us informed through phone calls, emails and site visits. In short, every encounter we had with your company, at every level, only served to increase our confidence in the decision to use your company to create our backyard landscaping. We would highly recommend your company to anyone who is looking for quality landscape project. Thank you!”

“Had a great experience with the whole process from start to finish. Great people, hard working, great attention to detail. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality design/work/service. Even after the job was done I have called back with questions and given expert advice.”
“Start to finish THE best company I’ve worked with in any type of construction or remodel. They are fully staffed to meet all your needs so it was easy. Each step from design to completion was done with such professionalism, attention to detail and so easy going, even with the little or big changes. They worked with the HOA and were accommodating and respectful of our neighbors. At the end of the day the crew cleaned up the site. Communication on what was happening, or changes was always immediate so I didn’t have to question what’s next. Gail Willey was on site several times during the project. He knows landscaping and when he says it will be done right, you know it will. I enjoyed my conversations with him. Everyone treats each other with such respect in the company from the top on down and it translates to a group of hard working, get ‘er done folks. We did a total update of front landscaping, replacing a very long old asphalt driveway with pavers, replaced lawn with more of natural riverbed look, replaced large brick planters with a fenced courtyard and large rock water feature. What a change! Thank you Gail Willey Landscaping.”

“Dear Mr. Willey:
Sometimes the words “thank you” just doesn’t seem to say enough. The landscaped environment you and your team created for us will be with us to enjoy for the rest of our lives as it stirs our imaginations and delights our eyes with the turn of every season.
We knew the project would be a success from the first day we talked with Tom. He listened to our amateurish vision and turned it into a park-like setting, in the mountains, one with nature. He didn’t just design and disappear. He was onsite most every day and was in constant contact. Like Tom, Pedro and his team of workers are enthusiastic and take a great deal of pride in their work. It shows in the details unlike any other landscaping job we’ve ever seen.
There were no surprises with this project. Except – waking up on the first day to find Mr. Willey himself in the backhoe with a Cheshire grin moving dirt here there and everywhere having the time of his life. This project was done on time and on budget and we actually enjoyed the experience. Now, how many people would say they enjoyed
having their yard torn up, strangers and noisy equipment stirring around at odd hours, and a port-a-potty parked out front?
Gail Willey Landscaping, Inc. has staff with the education, skill and enthusiasm as well as progressive techniques and equipment to get a job done with the least amount of inconvenience for the client in a very short period of time. If you need landscaping no need to look any further. We enthusiastically encourage you to go to THE LEADER IN
LANDSCAPING: Gail Willey Landscaping, Inc.
With Such Appreciation”

“I am thrilled with the way you took our backyard from boring to gorgeous!! The wall is amazing. You chose perfect plants. I love the boulders. Your guys did a great job trimming and revitalizing the turf and the existing plants. The lights look great! I think we need some along the fence though…can we add 3 more? Now I just have to wait out the winter until I can enjoy my new backyard this summer.”

“From the moment Tom Schuster came out to meet us to go over our landscaping ideas, I knew that we picked the right landscaping company w/Gail Willey.
My husband & I had discussed updating our landscape at our home for years, and finally we were ready to do it & we knew choosing the right landscape professionals was paramount to our decision.
The vast experience & constant professionalism was apparent from the first day the crew started until the perfect detailed completion 3 weeks later.
The crew was always on time every morning & worked diligently all day.
We were impressed with their organization & how clean they kept our property in the process.
Tom was always there to check on the progress every couple of days & had excellent ideas to share w/me & kept me in the loop to make sure I was happy w/the progress.
Alfredo ran a tight ship w/his paver crew of professional men & laid those pavers down beautifully w/such detail & organization.
Alfredo also built 2 gorgeous pillars to create an entrance to the pavers, it matches perfect & looks pristine.
All our friends & family are amazed how different the new landscape looks & the how the new entrance w/river rock & pillars updated our home & adds value for many years.
The results are fantastic & we will be enjoying our new pavers & Nevada rock landscape for many, many years to come.
We spend more time outside in our garden now that it looks so gorgeous. It’s easy to maintain & always looks great.
Thank you again Tom & Alfredo & your crew of professionals that made our dream a reality.”

“We just wanted to thank you and Gail for the outstanding job you did on our landscaping! Who would have thought that the back yard could look so beautiful? You took 2.5 acres of sagebrush and made it look like a green, non-desert, beautifully designed backyard. People come up to us all the time telling us how much they like our backyard landscaping. We are looking forward to the vines growing in and the trees and shrubs to mature. You’ll have to come back to see the progress. Thanks again for your ideas, expertise and professionalism. We really enjoyed working with everyone at Gail Willey Landscaping.”
“I want to thank you, Gail, and the crew at Gail Willey Landscaping. You have created an atmosphere in my yard no different than some of the best resorts anywhere in the world. I love having dinner on the patio, and hearing the streams from the waterfall and creek. I now have privacy to roam around in my yard with a morning cup of coffee with the combination of aspens, pines, firs and flowers. Now, when I look outside through the windows and see the lights shine on the creek and waterfall, it makes me not want to leave home. Again, thank you for everything!”
“We cannot say enough about your hard-working grounds crew! They were AMAZING! The extra effort and care they showed not only in the job itself, but also with daily cleanup around the property, was very much appreciated. We will definitely recommend Gail Willey to our friends and clients. Thank you very much for creating a paradise in our own backyard!”

Gail Willey Landscaping was involved from the beginning of our extensive landscaping project. Their landscape designer, Tom Schuster, drew up a yard plan for us that we used as a basis for the entire project. Gail Willey and his team of workers completed all grading, built streams and waterfalls, and created a number of ponds and water features. They built rock walls and installed fences, laid flagstone and pavers, and constructed decorative stairways throughout our property. Their lighting designer, Thomas, designed, located and installed lights all over the yard for safety, accents, and enjoyment of the yard after dark. The team designed and installed drip systems, and thanks to Tom’s expertise, we now have a wide variety of beautiful plants in well thought-out locations that harmonize with the rockwork and water. It was a long process, but we are extremely pleased with the incredible results. Thanks in large part to Gail Willey and his creative and dependable team, our yard is now inviting, relaxing and beautiful!”
Last year my wife and I finished building our retirement home. One of the best decisions we made was having Gail Willey’s team, and team leader Tom Schuster design and construct the paver driveway, walkways, front porch and steps including back yard patios and connecting walkways. The final work product integrated the different levels/elevations perfectly. The back yard which included a superb water feature with double waterfall and landscape layout completes the home which will bring many years of retirement joy. Thank you for the fine workmanship and professionalism.

“To prospective customers of Gail Willey Landscaping:
My company manages several homeowners’ associations in the area. One of our associations located along the Steamboat Ditch recently encountered some issues with bank erosion along the ditch. Gail Willey’s team formulated a plan to shore up the failing banks of the ditch and curtail the erosion on the adjacent hillsides between the buildings and the ditch. They installed an impressive and effective róck wall along the association’s side of the ditch, built a secondary retaining wall along one of the residence buildings, and buried the pipes leading from the building downspouts under the hillside so they would drain directly into the ditch. These efforts should significantly reduce the potential for erosion. The project has dramatically improved the appearance of the property all along the ditch. As a community manager, I found the Gail Willey team very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them for any future projects, and I am sure our client associations will feel that they have been well served.”
-Tom DeFalco, President, Controlled Resources Management Group, Inc.
“Dear Tom and Severo:
This is just a short note to thank you both for the outstanding job the Gail Willey team did on our retaining wall project. Everything came together in a most professional way. The design guidance, estimating, and execution were outstanding. The guys showed up on time, put in a full day, were most respectful and attentive to details, and to making the customer satisfied. The delivery and staging of materials were excellent. When they showed up our driveway and back yard were “clean and orderly”. When they left today, after completion, they left it in the same condition after hauling in about 22, 000 lbs. of block, not to mention crushed rock, fill, dirt, and the excavation. No back charges, or unanticipated costs. Well done. Please pass on our thanks to the crew for a job well done.
If we should decide to do some additional work, we know who we will call. Please feel free to use us as a reference should you feel the need. Thanks again”

“I am writing to let you know how pleased we are with the landscaping project you completed for us. It was a big job with an almost impossible time deadline. You did what you needed to do, got the equipment and people there to finish the job on time. Not only did you get the job done, but you did a great job. It was a pleasure working with you and the gang. By the way, your prompt follow up to any issues we had after the job was completed has been greatly appreciated.”

I apologize for how long it has taken me to write this. I had intended to write and many times I have thought it through in my head, but for some reason never got it down on paper. Finally….
Several years ago, an unfortunate incident left us with removing a pool and landscaping our back yard again. The cost of the removal and then designing something new was overwhelming. We called several landscapers from recommendations of friends. Tom, from Gail Willey Landscaping promptly returned our call and made an appointment to listen to our ideas and limitations. There was much consideration of the options. A decision was made and “magically,” the pool was removed, the ground filled appropriately and the most beautiful replacement in terms of cost effective and water sparing landscape was installed. Each year the plant growth has been fantastic and there is not a day that goes by that we don’t enjoy our back yard. The plants are easily maintained, provided beautiful color and are enjoyed not only us but the wildlife that it attracts.
Fast forward to this winter and entering another summer living in a drought area. The front yard was primarily grass and our water bills kept rising. We called Tom again and with the same promptness, he came, listened to our ideas and helped create a plan. We started with all the grandness that dreaming entails and then he helped us modify a desert landscape with color equal to an English garden and stayed within our budget. He worked on the plan for an unlimited amount of hours and met with us to verify that we were all on the same page. Once a decision was reached, the yard was transformed within two weeks. The first year has already seen tremendous growth and each day there is new color. It is clean, fresh and peaceful. As important, our water bill has dropped by almost two-thirds on the high watering months. A few plants did not make the winter and Tom replaced them. One cannot ask for any better working relationship then to be listened to and a design built and implemented with an outstanding outcome. Anyone is welcome to drive by and see its beauty.
When investing money in landscaping, one wants to be assured of the outcome. You can have that assurance of quality and efficiency with Gail Willey Landscape. Each person we have worked with on their team has been personable, caring and professional. I cannot recommend them highly enough. You will be pleased.”

“Mike has been very happy with the level of professionalism and quality of work from you guys. He has made a strong point with the fact that Mr. Willey is a “good ol’ boy” of Nevada. I like that a lot. I wish there were more “good ol’ boys” in the world.”
– Steff K.
“We started with nothing, needing everything from: engineering, design, coordination of subs, out buildings, raised garden boxes, fencing, barbecue, hardscape, pergola area, sprinkler system, pool and plant material. Tom has an amazing eye for design, saved us money, added elements that I would not have thought of which improved our project. Gail uses his experience and connections to have the project run more efficiently and is a perfectionist when it comes to doing the job right. Their foreman are knowledgeable and hard working. They are easy to work with and always have a smile. We continue to work with them on other projects and seek their advice concerning ongoing maintenance. We really enjoyed working with Gail Willey Landscaping and highly recommend them to anyone wanting superior service.”

“The rooftop garden you designed and constructed at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center is a big sensation! I constantly hear employees, doctors and visitors comment on the beauty and serenity of the area. This garden was laid out in such a way to be effective in maneuvering wheelchairs and walkers throughout the space. Thanks for working with us to get the project finished on time and under budget. We look forward to using Gail Willey Landscaping for future projects.”
– Jessica B.
“What great people to work with. Any questions we had we answered fully to our satisfaction, immediately. No detail was too small for them to stop what they were doing and walk completely through our issue. Every member of the Gail Willey team who worked on our project were very congenial, easy to be around. We had almost daily meetings with Tom, either in person or via telephone or email, to review progress. Anytime we were set to move to another part of the project, we met and walked completely through that phase, many times with tape measure in hand. This allowed us, Tom and the rest of the crew, to reach a complete understanding of what we wanted to accomplish up front and made the execution part easier for all of us. We will most certainly use Gail Willey Landscaping again on any type of major landscaping project and would recommend them highly to anyone.”
– The Chichesters
“This spring I had the pleasure of working with Gail Willey Landscaping on a large project at one of my Associations in Reno. This project entailed building a rock retaining wall around the common area shoreline of Lake Stanley and then installing new xeriscaping and landscaping around the marina. Time and weather had eroded the shoreline and it needed to be re-claimed, and a 40-year-old landscape was in need of an upgrade.
The shoreline project was time sensitive because we had to lower the Lake. Gail Willey Landscaping completed the project well under deadline. The landscape project was completed quickly and efficiently. Gail Willey and his staff were always available to walk the project to answer questions and the inevitable punch list was finished quickly.
As a portfolio Association Manager with many properties to oversee, it was a relief to work with a contractor and team that completed a project in a timely manner, who kept me up-to-date on the schedule without having to ask and who did a great job. The finished project is beautiful.”
